Tahu

atua of food and feasts and the personification of the dining hall

Tahu is a symbol of manaaki, hospitality and shared enjoyment. Once at work in the kitchen, we imagine Tahu’s new life in the dining room, hosting and entertaining.

A precision-cut 3cm thick marble slab, reclaimed from a kitchen, rests on an engineered acrylic chassis. Built from American Walnut grown in Taurānga and milled in the Waikato. The platter is Calacatta marble, hand-turned in the workshop. Tonearm base is turned brass.

Tonearm: RB220 · Stylus: Nagaoka MP-110 · Weight: 22 kg · Dimensions: 44.5 × 38.4 × 17 cm
